In July 2017 the National Gallery welcomed its first bride and groom for an intimate wedding breakfast. Celebrating with a joyful gathering of family and friends, the couple held a very special wedding ‘breakfast’ (this time it was actually breakfast, being hosted before public opening) in the stunning surroundings of the Gallery’s glass-domed Barry Rooms. The pair chose the National Gallery as their wedding venue for their personal love of art and for the opportunity to have the paintings and beautiful spaces all to themselves as part of their wedding celebrations.
