Wigwam® Holidays The Loft is situated in the heart of the Highlands between Forres and Elgin in Moray Speyside. Surrounded by 388-acres of farmland, including fields of barley grown for Speyside Whisky, The Loft is an ideal venue for a rustic, memorable and magical Scottish wedding.
The Loft is an exclusive-use venue with a selection of rooms and barns, offering indoor and outdoor ceremony options. In addition, The Loft has licensed bars, in-house staff to help during your special day and a PA system for ceremony music and speeches.
One of The Loft’s unique selling points is the blank canvas they offer to would-be brides or grooms. They understand each wedding is unique and individual to each couple, and no two weddings are ever the same.
Just a few moments’ walk away from the wedding celebrations are sixteen heated, insulated Wigwam® Cabins and three Sheiling Cabins which can accommodate up to 93 staying guests, meaning everyone has quality time together without the worry of transport to and from the ceremony and reception venues.

Once the celebrations are over, relax, recover and rejuvenate by taking a stroll along onsite farm trails or venture further afield and explore nearby Forestry Commission woodland or award-winning Moray Coast beaches.
While the location is beautifully rural, the site is easily accessible from Inverness Airport (24 miles) Aberdeen Airport (69 miles) and by rail with Forres railway station 5.2 miles away and Elgin railway station 7.6 miles away.
The accommodation at Wigwam Holidays The Loft includes the super cosy Wigwam® Cabins, which are made in Scotland from sustainable timber. Wigwams offer spacious and comfortable accommodation for you and your guests; the honeymoon cabin has a hot tub and comes supplied with all you need for a restful post wedding recuperation.
Victoria Butler, co-owner of the site, said: “Our team is on hand to help as little or as much as required with the planning and running of your wedding day. We can cater for both small and intimate and larger weddings. Our smallest wedding was a wedding of ceremony for 20 and our largest a wedding ceremony for 170 with an evening function of up to 300.”
There is also a Visit Scotland 4* Activity Centre onsite, a Cafe and there’s plenty to do nearby including the Malt Whisky Trail, Castles or dolphin spotting in the Moray Firth and much more.
