The newly reopened Hintze Hall is the perfect venue for couples to host their wedding reception with the Museum’s latest breathtaking addition, Hope the Whale, providing a stunning ‘wow factor’ as an unforgettable event backdrop.
The Natural History Museum, an iconic Grade I listed building, offers couples the chance to share their special day with friends and family in one of the most spectacular spaces in London.
Newlyweds can celebrate under new resident Hope the Whale – a 25.2m blue whale skeleton dramatically suspended from the ceiling following the spaces’ biggest transformation in its 136 year history. Hintze Hall has also welcomed ten majestic specimens arranged in the venue’s Wonder Bays, including a 4.5 billion-year-old meteorite and Mantellisaurus skeleton. The grandeur of Hintze Hall coupled with the impressive scale of Hope is sure to leave guests speechless – except the best man, hopefully!
Situated in the heart of South Kensington and surrounded by beautiful gardens, guests leave the high-octane city life and escape to the tranquil setting of the Museum to celebrate the newlyweds’ love. The festivities can begin with a relaxing drinks reception whilst guests enjoy the stunning architecture and explore numerous galleries and exhibits. 
The Museum’s specialist in-house events team can give as little or as much input as needed into the day’s proceedings and the Museum’s list of accredited suppliers includes the best catering, production, floristry and entertainment professionals available.
Finally, the evening can be rounded off with a first dance in the iconic space for the ‘Just Married’ couple. The striking space can accommodate up to 400 guests for a dinner dance,600 for a seated diner and 1200 for a standing drinks reception. However, adjoining galleries can also be hired out if required.
