An island hopping honeymoon is perfect for couples who don’t wish to limit themselves to just one destination or simply can’t decide where to go!

Known for its tropical weather and stunning beaches, the Caribbean is a diverse region offering a multitude of holiday experiences, from beach breaks and spa retreats to active getaways and sailing trips. Each of the island nations has a unique character, landscape and culture plus a fantastic choice of places to stay - hop between the ihermitagebayslands to experience this diversity and get the most out of your time away. The attractive climate makes the Caribbean an excellent holiday destination with sunny weather and warm sea temperatures throughout the year.

There are numerous island hopping possibilities in the Caribbean, with some combinations lending themselves better to a multi-centre itinerary due to their geographical location and transport links. As the region is so vast, when planning your honeymoon it is advisable to concentrate on areas where islands are clustered together.

The popular islands of Barbados, Antigua and St Lucia are great starting points as all three have plenty to offer visitors and act as a gateway to other destinations throughout the Caribbean. Island chains such as the Grenadines and the British Virgin Islands are also great for island hoppguanaislanding holidays, promising great variation even within a relatively small area. The former is a beautiful archipelago consisting of larger islands such as Bequia and Canouan, private islands including exclusive Mustique and numerous uninhabited islands and cays. Ferries and speedboats operate between the islands, plus many of the inhabited islands have small airports which make transport relatively straightforward.

While it is possible to access many of the Caribbean islands by plane or by ferry, a fabulously romantic option which allows for greater flexibility and exclusivity would be to charter a yacht.  Whatever your mode of transport, the choice of island hopping combinations are stluciaendless.

Get away from it all at a secluded beach resort then head to a lively island with fabulous restaurants and a vibrant nightlife; spend a few days at a waterfront boutique hotel before setting sail on a private yacht; be at one with nature at a hotel amid the rainforest then make the most of the facilities at a more active resort; or get out and about to discover the Caribbean culture before relaxing at a private island resort...the choice is yours!
