Newbury Racecourse launches new packages for the big day

Couples are set to race down the aisle after Newbury Racecourse announced a new range of wedding packages.

The historic venue in Berkshire has been hosting horse races since 1905 – but will now see happy couples heading down the home straight too.

The launch comes in response to recent trends from wedding couples seeking less traditional venues.

Gemma Williams, Weddings Executive at Newbury Racecourse commented: “We’ve seen a real uptake in requests for unique weddings and in some cases specifically equestrian-themed events. We’re proud to now cater for both through our new wedding packages.”

Specialist Indian caterer, Itihaas, is celebrating signing a three-year deal with Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club. Expected to be worth over £1 million, the contract is the first of its kind and sees Itihaas become the Warwickshire venue’s exclusive Indian caterer.

Set to generate over £300,000 per year, the partnership will allow a more streamlined approach to specialist events at Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club; from corporate events through to large scale wedding celebrations. Having historically worked with multiple suppliers, this is the first time the venue has signed exclusively with one Indian caterer.

Wedding inspiration is never scarce as nature begins to showcase a scenic array of bright yellows, deep reds and vibrant oranges. For both traditional and more contemporary weddings, adding colour brings something special to the overall feel of the celebration.
