Are you attending a wedding in the coming months? If so, you’ve probably planned out what you’ll be wearing. It’s an important day after all and what better excuse to hit the shops and find a new outfit from head to toe? After picking out a stunning dress (careful you don’t upstage the bride – unless you are the bride!) and some equally stunning footwear, you’ll be looking at accessories, and how to tie the ensemble together in a stylish way. This is often the hardest part. But have no fear. Follow this advice, because there’s no more sure-fire way to make a statement than landing the right wedding hat.

Understandably, finding the right head garment can prove to be quite tricky. It’s not every day that you’re on the look-out for formal headwear. On top of this there are a multitude of options to choose from and all of them have their own unique advantages.

Don’t worry if you don’t know your casques from your calots, the right hat is out there for you and if you follow this advice you’re guaranteed to make an impression.

Attending as a guest

You could opt for the stylish 1920s Cocktail, the demure but classy Pillbox or perhaps make more of a splash with an elegant Fascinator. The possibilities are endless.

If you’re the bride

You can’t go wrong with a subtle silver tiara to compliment your choice of dress.

That isn’t to say that there aren’t other available options. From fedoras to turbans, there’s a rich history of varied headgear at weddings and there’s sure to be one that suits your style and theme. The examples featured in the graphic below however, are considered the most timeless and widely used – making it more likely you’ll be able to work them into your outfit plans.
