DIY Wedding: create a feature wall for your wedding

A feature wall is a great opportunity to add character to your wedding without splurging out and spending too much of your wedding budget. Here are a few DIY feature wall ideas to make your special day even more beautiful.

Let the wall bloom

For us it was important to have our wedding in Brighton as it is my home city and where we first met. The stature of The Grand and its location right in the heart of Brighton seafront made it the perfect choice for us.

We were looking for a large, self-catering venue with the wow-factor for our civil ceremony, Indian wedding and wedding reception. The facilities at The Grand ticked all the boxes.

Boost Your Winter Skin With Berries

Boost Your Winter Skin With Berries

Our skin definitely needs some extra TLC when it’s colder; it’s coping with the cold outside and the drying central heating inside. We tend to eat less fruit during winter, which means that our antioxidant, mineral and hydration intake might suffer at the time our skin needs it the most. Love Fresh Berries has teamed up with dermatologist and skin guru Abigail James to discover why berries are a great source of skin loving nutrients and will benefit your skin all year round.

Styling on the day

When you take your waistcoat off, make sure you can’t see any shirt between the waistcoat and your trousers as it ruins the clean look. Raise your trousers higher!

Bring an extra shirt of the same fabric, just in case. This is huge. If the one you’re wearing is double cuff, bring an extra single cuff. On a high-pressure day like this, anything could happen; from forgetting your cufflinks, to a red wine spillage or even forgetting your shirt altogether! To be prepared is to be relaxed.

Plan A Wedding In Eight Months - David Scholes Photography

Brides-to--be who say ‘yes’ on Valentine’s Day can be married before the year is out – that’s according to wedding planners at James’ Places, the leading North West hospitality group.

Chief dream maker Jen Wilkinson blew away the myth that weddings have to take at least a year to plan.

Said Jen: “Given careful organisation, there’s no reason why a dream wedding can’t be planned in eight months.”

Here’s Jen’s timeplan and tips for preparing a perfect day in eight months.

Now

Book the venue. This is the most important thing and the deal breaker which will dictate the date of the big day. Consider a mid-week wedding and look at off-peak weekends for bargains.
