Wedding trend predictions for 2017

Due to the Coronavirus, we are now working from home, if you need to contact us urgently please email: emmah@euromedia-al.co.uk

Rebecca Hurley, Deputy Head of Events for BMA House says: “More and more couples are looking for more informal wedding breakfasts with a lot more mingling and strolling around than formal seating. This means we are seeing couples choosing the fun options of street food and food stalls over a sit down wedding breakfast.

Theming continues to play a pivotal role (for most couples, as they aim to make their wedding day stand out for their friends’ wedding) in the wedding planning process  However, how and where people look for inspiration is constantly evolving. We believe that social media channels such as Pinterest will continue to influence couples’ (decisions when planning their big day) decision making process in planning their big day.

We also foresee social media playing a larger and more important part in the wedding itself as couples expect to instantly be able to see and share the best picture, video clips etc. from their big day.

However, the need for personal service isn’t dying – in fact far from it. My team still see themselves playing an important role in supporting and guiding each and every bride and working with couples to come up with a style and theme that reflects their interests and personality. While some will go all out to incorporate the theme into all aspects of their wedding others just use it when it comes to flowers and decorations.

To meet current demands BMA House is launching a new Wedstival package including eclectic street food with an innovative twist, fun festival theming (haystacks, tractors, wellies – the choice is yours!) live music and gorgeous flowers for our unique outdoor spaces including the BMA Mind Garden and Courtyard.  And if the weather doesn’t go to plan, we have that taken care of too.

Whatever 2017 brings we will continue to put our couples first

and foremost and ensure their ideas are not overshadowed by fellow family members. We always have our fingers on the pulse and are keeping a close eye with what is going on in the industry to ensure we are up to speed at all times. “
