With us now in the peak of wedding season, Autumn might seem and long way away, but it will soon creep up on us. That’s why we have asked our guest blogger Natalie Lovett to give us her trend predictions for an Autumn wedding, so you don’t get caught out.
Autumn is one of the most beautiful times to get married – so many lovely colours, and there’s still some warmth in the air too!
Here’s my predictions for what’s in store for the Autumnal wedding:
Tones and Textures
A lovely rich set of colours looks fabulous against an autumnal backdrop – I predict that many may even add jewel-like tones to their colour palette. Think rich plums and burgundy against complementary lush greens and pastels to add a softness.
Metallics are pretty hot too – with the most popular being the rich, glamorous and shiny copper!
Think wild, green and leafy bouquets with rich-coloured dahlias and berries – with the addition of succulents too, which are rising in popularity. This look will be 
paired with sumptuous, leafy garlands which add depth and romance to the finish.
Themes
A touch of sleek (think Meghan Markle) will be a big Autumn trend, but most importantly, the personal touch is being given priority – think personalised welcome signs, big escort card boards and lots of calligraphy across stationery and signage.
Dresses are a big focus too as brides are opting for separates: long skirts with layers of beautiful waves synched in at the waist paired with beautiful top pieces, perhaps with long sleeves and Bardot necklines, or sleeveless and jewelled with a sweetheart neckline ...and second dresses are set to become more popular as they switch their heavier day dress for a plain, sleeker and sexier number in the evening ready to dance the night away with ease.
...and don’t forget the lighting too – twinkly lights and candles paired with leafy branches, while a more obvious trend for the time of year, with be a well thought out addition and adds a touch of romance to the décor.
Quirky additions
Food and drink is big news, and Autumn weddings will see an increase in popularity of quirky food and drink stations as they enable you to bring your personalities out too!
Think hot chocolate and marshmallow stations, Prosecco and Gin bars – with a warm cocktail option as the weather turns a little cooler - wood-fired pizza horseboxes, crepe stations and brownie bars - all with an emphasis on seasonal and local produce.
