Your wedding day is a glorious event and one that is generally shared with close family and friends. While it is only one day, the amount of planning, decision making and general stress that goes into that one day is nothing short of epic. It’s your big day; you want it to be beyond perfect and that is completely understandable. However with so many aspects to the wedding, it is easy to get carried away and end up spending vast amounts of money on inane details that simply no one but yourself will appreciate or notice.

When planning for your wedding, keep a notebook or a list close to hand and write down the main priorities that both you and your partner have in terms of what you want on the day. Is your focus on having the most stunning music in the church, with a top class vocalist as well as a string quartet? Does your partner wish to have the meal in their favourite restaurant or insists on having specific caterers come in for the event? The point is that you should isolate the main things that you and your partner see as a priority for the day and work through them accordingly in terms of budget allocation.

Communication is important and cooperation too with your partner. Never lose sight of what is actually happening i.e. you are marrying this person and don’t let the occasion take over from the purpose.

This infographic from Loyes Diamonds aims to help couples to approach their wedding in a more measured approach. It should help you to understand what is best to focus on, where to target your budget and much more in order to get the most from the biggest day of your life! Check it out below.
