ENTER THE GREAT BRITISH FOOD FESTIVAL 'CAKE OFF' AND FIND OUT! Set in the grounds of the magnificent Elizabethan country house, the hall near Chesterfield in Derbyshire provides a stunning venue for The Great British Food & Drink Festival.  The event is back this for three days between the 30th April and the 2nd May, opens its gates at 10am each day.

The event organisers are looking for the best Victoria Sponge and Chocolate Cakes in the area! They want your cake! If you bring a cake along for the popular 'Cake Off' your cake will be tasted by the public and judged by a Great British Bake Off Star with Luis Troyano, Howard Middleton and Sandy Doherty taking the stage for one day each. Best of all all cake of entrants get free entry to the festival and a chance to win a Kenwood Hand Mixer, worth £70!

Luis Troyano, one of the judges on Sunday said ' I love doing the cake off, its great to see so many different styles and so much talent'. The Bake off stars will also be doing demo's at the event each day at 12 and 3pm, there is also a new Baking stage for 2016 area dedicated to cakes and bakes, with demos throughout the day.

The Great British Food Festival organisers have added on a number of new attractions for 2016, organiser, Daniel Maycock said: "We really enjoyed last year here at Hardwick Hall and we are back bigger than ever. We’ve added a BBQ demo area and cooking from a camper demos, as well as even more tasty street food and top producers. This year we have also added a gift and craft marquee, so we’ll have even more great stalls!’
