One couple couldn’t bear the thought of their big day without their furry dog friends…

Most dog owners see their pets as one of the family but how many would revolve their big day around them? For Apryl and Richard Britton from Amesbury, Wiltshire, getting married without them wasn’t an option. Both devoted dog lovers, the couple have been together for seven years and have added to their canine family along the way with a total of six pooches in their pack.

dog walkiesBreeze, Neville, Trixie, Roux, Whizzer and Halo, all fed on a Natures Menu raw food diet, have been an important part of Apryl and Richard’s relationship from the beginning, with Richard even using puppy love to propose to Apryl on Christmas Day, by tying the ring around Breeze’s neck.

And Breeze’s role hasn’t stopped there in their relationship, as she walked down the aisle alongside the bridesmaids at their wedding, as chief ring bearer. The six dogs even had their own groomsman for the day whose main role was to keep them happy.

Whilst the couple ate a traditional meal of a chicken roast, furry friends enjoyed their very own wedding breakfast of Natures Menu Country Hunter raw superfood of farm reared turkey nuggets, with a scrumptious treat of a raw rack of ribs to finish off!

We wanted somewhere for them to relax and interact with our guests whilst still playing a big part of the day. Our wedding was really built around the love we have for our dogs and for each other. Even our wedding cake included toppers of our dogs and our wedding favours had wooden shelties wrapped in a purple ribbon. Our family know we are mad about our pets so weren’t surprised in the slightest. Most of our guests and family also own dogs, and they were thrilled that they could stay at the hotel too.”

The couple also made sure the full pack was involved in all their photos with the canines all ‘experts’ in posing for photographs for local photographers Emm Photography.walkies-bride-and-groom

Apryl said: “As the stars of our wedding, we wanted to make sure our furry family was in tip top shape for the big day. We’ve been feeding them Natures Menu for a while now and have seen a real difference in their coats shine and softness – I had some serious hair competition on the big day!”
