United by a desire for freshness and freedom, Carven fragrances have once again brought together its talented trio, masterfully orchestrated by Guillaume Henry, to create a new fragrance, Carven L’Eau de Toilette.

Different from the original but not in opposition; this even fresher, lighter and more luminous scent is inspired by the simplicity, freshness and captivating charm of the Carven woman. Encapsulating the energy of Carven fashion, this new fragrance, masterminded by Francis Kurkdjian, combines fresh yet musky floral notes with a flash of femininity against a soft, creamy backdrop.

Creator of Carven L’Eau de Toilette, Francis Kurkdjian started his journey of evolution by his desire to create a lighter, more airy fragrance. “I imagined Carven L’Eau de Toilette like a lightweight piece of clothing, with an elegant cut and a decidedly ‘city’ look. As easy to wear as Le Parfum but made of a different fabric, probably more airy. Quite naturally, the original Jasmine became Freesia, illustrating its totally floral lightness. I also reworked the woody harmony in my composition, so it would blend delicately with the Musks.”

Francis Kurkdjian first selected elegant citrus notes of Italian Lemon and Orange. These set the tone for the delicious fragrance before yielding to a charming duet of Sweet Pea and Peony, with their poetic and naturally sparkling notes.

L’Eau de Toilette has inherited its signature floral bouquet but sees its fresh transparent top notes fused with the grace and radiance of Freesia, which has been underscored by White Hyacinth and Wisteria for transparency and added luminosity. Its creamy elegant bottom notes of amber, white musks and sandalwood create depth and a lingering sensuality.

”If Carven L’Eau de Toilette were a colour, it would be green,” said bottle designer, Thierry de Baschmakoff. Green like a symbol of freedom, vivacity, femininity exerting its new power. Green in a subtle salute to the emblematic colour that shaped the success of the brand. And so green became its colour, spring-like, luminous, and adorable, like a tremor of delight.

The bottle has been revisited, with its new colour and the fabric label fluttering gaily around a neck decked with threads of gold. On the box, subtle, thin tone-on-tone white stripes embody the very essence of the Carven style.
