Autumn Flavours

Due to the Coronavirus, we are now working from home, if you need to contact us urgently please email: emmah@euromedia-al.co.uk

From renowned heritage farmers to artisan suppliers, we are able to get our hands on the very best ingredients, right on our doorstep. It’s a great opportunity to create delicious plates of food and also showcase what we have to offer in and around the greater Manchester area.

The North West provides plenty of culinary inspiration in autumn and nowhere more so than in devising a wedding menu, especially as we benefit from such incredible local produce. There’s no doubt it gives us a clear advantage when devising new or bespoke dishes.

At this time of year the hedgerows yield a bounty, plump blackberries and zingy aspberries are at their peak and we have received a large number of requests from couples when they are devising the menus for their special day. The autumnal fruits also lend themselves well to alternative drinks as we see a move away from the traditional Champagne towards bespoke cocktails which take advantage of the fruit at its very best.

Autumn lamb is also an ever-popular choice, it’s a premium cut with a richer flavour than the spring variety, and represents a distinct move away from the more traditional cuts. As such, more money is being spent on heritage and sustainably sourced produce – coming in the wake of harvest season, nowhere can you see this trend for a higher-end experience than on autumn menus.

Autumn provides plenty of opportunity for playful presentation, and new and innovative cooking techniques have also meant that Smart Hospitality Manchester can enhance the season’s mouth-wateringly robust flavours. This creates memorable plates of food which really do credit to the abundance of produce available in this season. As food awareness becomes greater, new methods are being embraced as couples are able to see how dishes cooked in this method really jump off the plate.
