Bespoke Engagement Rings and Wedding Rings at Form Bespoke Jewellers
When it comes to a wedding, you want every element to be special for you and your partner – that includes your wedding rings and engagement ring too!
A trip to Form Bespoke Jewellers in Leeds, West Yorkshire, finds you in the friendly and capable hands of award-winning jewellers, Tim Swann and Gary Thompson. With over 60 years in the jewellery industry, they have refined their quality craftsmanship into a fine art.
Their Chapel Allerton showroom boasts a selection of previously commissioned pieces, each unique in its own special way. At Form Bespoke Jewellers, every piece of fine jewellery is uniquely handmade for the customer to suit their individual style and budget. No two rings are the same (unless the couple want them to be of course!) and with their extensive jewellery knowledge, almost any design is possible.
When it comes to your engagement ring or wedding ring, you will sit down with one of their jewellers and put together your bespoke design ideas. Whether you know exactly what you want or have only just begun the process, both Tim and Gary are there to provide expert guidance along the way.
There are also some useful tips for engagement ring and wedding ring designs on their website.
Engagement rings can often be split into four different style categories: Solitaire: a single stone (diamond/coloured precious stone) on a plain band. Trilogy: three stones, often with a larger centre stone flanked by two smaller ones. Cluster/Halo: a selection of stones of varying sizes. The halo style has a larger central stone surrounded by a “halo” of smaller stones. Diamond Set Band: for that extra sparkle, the band of the ring is set with extra diamonds. They can be pavé set too!
Wedding rings can be plain, diamond set, diamond cut or textured. They can also be of varying widths and profiles, or be hand shaped to sit perfectly alongside your engagement ring. Fitted wedding rings are a speciality at Form Bespoke Jewellers using their expert craftsmanship skills to full potential. Don’t worry if this all sounds a bit bombarding, there is always a jeweller on hand at Form to help you every step of the way.
Once you’ve started to put together a final design, a CAD (Computer Aided Design) image is then created of your engagement ring or wedding ring. This is a virtual 3D image allowing you to really see what your final ring will look like.
From here, tweaks can be made until you are perfectly happy with your bespoke design, then the image is sent to the casters to be cast into your chosen precious metal; Platinum, Palladium, White, Yellow or Rose Gold. The choice is yours. Here’s a handy Precious Metals Guide if you’d like to learn a little more about them.
When it comes to your diamonds or coloured precious stones, Form Bespoke Jewellers use only a refined list of reputable diamond contacts. And for your bespoke engagement ring or wedding ring a selection of diamonds or coloured precious stones will be brought in for you to choose from to suit your design and budget. They can be of varying size, colour or clarity and again the choice is yours. To learn a bit more about diamonds, here’s a useful Diamond Guide.
Once you have chosen your stones and your ring has returned from the casters, the process is almost complete. Any diamonds or coloured precious stones are set by hand, and your ring is hand finished and polished in their Yorkshire workshop.
All that is left is for you to come back in to collect your truly bespoke piece of jewellery.
Form Bespoke Jewellers are recommended Yorkshire jewellery designers acknowledged for their friendly customer service, expert craftsmanship and beautiful quality jewellery.
