Your wedding day is supposed to be one of the best, if not the best day of your life. Some of us start planning this day from a very young age. We design the dress, decorate the venue, we even know who we will not be inviting to our future wedding. One thing we tend to forget, is to make the proper arrangements for our hair.

Research

On your wedding day, your hair is even more of an important feature than normal. The first step to take is actually looking at what you like, style wise. Is it an updo? Is it loose waves? Plaits? See what you are naturally drawn to and keep a Pinterest board or folder with your inspirations. Do also take your face shape and overall features into consideration to some extent: it’s certainly not an absolute rule but bear in mind that a style will look very different on a square jawline than on a heart shaped face.

For brides-to-be choosing your dream wedding dress is always regarded as the ultimate, agonising choice, but deciding how to wear your wedding hair for your big day definitely comes close second.

In a bid to offer some guidance and advice, the hair and beauty specialists at online retailer Hairtrade.com have compiled a list of five wedding hair trends that are expected to be popular amongst brides in 2018.

Choosing anything to do with your big day is a huge decision that requires careful thought and deliberation, but anything concerning the bride and groom’s appearance often takes precedence over everything else.

How to style hair extensions for your wedding day

Hair extensions

Every bride wants gorgeous wedding day hair. While plenty of brides look great with short hair, many brides grow out their locks before the big day or opt for hair extensions. Russian tape hair extensions are super safe as they don’t pull on your roots which means minimal damage on your hair, they last 4-6 weeks so are a quick and easy way to add volume, colour and length to create your dream look!

Grow your hair

Clients usually start growing their hair from the day they get engaged as they know that a longer hair style means their hairstylist has more to work with on their big day. We always find that as soon as they return from their honeymoon, the first thing they do on their return is book an appointment to cut it all off again!. I also advise clients not to colour their hair less than two weeks before their big day. This way it has time to settle and get in great condition for all the pictures
